The DVD was available as a special edition content for the promotion of the album. This is the first DVD in the support of an album that does not include any song from the album.
==Background==
The DVD comes with a CD that features all the tracks from the album, ''The Hunting Party''. The concert footage was shot on June 12, 2012 at Arena Monterrey, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The band also won the MTV award for the best World Stage in 2013 for this concert. This is the first show by the band in which they performed "Lost in the Echo" for the first time. This was the band's first concert in Mexico after 2002, when they played with Korn. The concert was included in the band's Honda Civic Tour with Incubus.
The original concert included 23 songs, but the DVD includes only twelve songs. The songs, such as "Given Up", "With You", "In My Remains", "Victimized", "Waiting for the End", "Breaking the Habit", "Ballad Medley" ("Leave Out All the Rest/Shadow of the Day/Iridescent"), "The Catalyst", "Numb", "Tinfoil/Faint" and "Lying from You/Papercut" were not included in the DVD.〔("LINKIN PARK LIVE - 2012.09.12" ) lplive.net Retrieved June 20, 2014.〕
